The ADHF coordinates the provision of pro bono dental treatment to disadvantaged members of the community.
Working with local charities and not for profit organisations, dental professionals can participate by volunteering their time and expertise to improve the oral health of referred patients.
With programs such as Adopt a Patient, Dental Rescue half or full days, and Rebuilding Smiles, we aim to provide assistance to those who have no ready access to the private or public dental services, including the homeless, those who are socially or economically disadvantaged and victims of domestic violence. Access to dental treatment and oral care advice enables patients to improve their dental health, speech, and self-esteem.
An additional facility, St Patrick’s Oral Health Clinic in Fremantle is a fully equipped dental clinic with volunteer dentists and specialists providing pro bono dental treatment. The clinic is seeking volunteer dentists to participate in half day sessions (8.30am – 1.30pm) Mon – Fri.

Equal Health first took roots at a health camp in the Tamil Nadu village areas of India. What started out as the “Spectacle Aid to India Program” grew to become a comprehensive health mission that strives to deliver services through collaborative efforts of multiple healthcare organisations. Equal Health now proudly supports patients in India and East Timor. The primary effort delivers sixty health care professionals to work in Southern India for two weeks annually.
The Volunteer Information Kit, which includes details of the costs involved can be downloaded at

Currently volunteers pay a tax-deductible donation to Equal Health. Equal Health then pays for your airfares, taxes, travel insurance, accommodation, food, water, washing and transport while you are on your placement. Volunteers are responsible for the cost of their own visa, vaccinations and additional spending money while away.
