Dr Lisa Bowdin
Dr Lisa Bowdin is a Paediatric Dentist who works in private practice in South Perth and Jandakot. She also has an appointment with the Perth Children’s Hospital Dental Department, providing after-hours emergency care to children who have experienced dental trauma. Lisa has served for many years on the WA Committee of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentisty (ANZSPD) and is currently the WA Federal Councillor on the national ANZSPD Council. She is also the treasurer of the Dental Specialists Society of Western Australia. Lisa regularly attends national and international conferences, and has spoken and presented at multiple conferences.
Prof Ray Williamson
Prof Ray Williamson is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He worked at UWA and Royal Perth Hospital for 35 years and has recently returned from spending several years in Ireland where he was the Prof of Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology and Oral Radiology. He has recently joined The Church OMS Clinic and The Park Private Hospital, Mount Lawley. Ray was the Prof of OMS at the UWA Dental School and the Director of OMS Training in WA for most of those 35 years. He was on the OMS Board of Studies for the RACDS and an Examiner for the Final Fellowship for the FRACDS(OMS). He has lectured locally, interstate and internationally for many years.
Ray engages with dentistry outside the box having been a Navy Dentist and a Navy Diver, working in Hyperbaric Medicine. He was a member of the Specialist Medical Team for the Wallabies Rugby Union team, Western Force Rugby Union team and the WA Reds Rugby League team. Ray has also worked as an Archaeologist in Egypt, Mexico and South America.
Dr David Hallett
After over 30 years chairside as a dentist, in both country and metropolitan areas. Dr David Hallett became the ADAWA CEO eight years ago. Whilst working as a dentist was a member of ADAWA Council and Executive. David has seen all the sides of the dental profession. David presents regularly on non-scientific topics such as professionalism and ethics in dentistry, consent and clinical records.
