This course will remind you of the history of composite resin restorations and where these restorations currently sit in 2020. It will address current issues that practitioners have including fracture, wear, polymerization shrinkage and stress, and marginal leakage. The composite versus amalgam debate will be visited and reviewed.
Composite survival outcome will be discussed in relation to patient selection, cavity location and size, material choice and the need for a meticulous technique. And to round the evening out there will be some practical clinical tips for direct composite placement.
