For a small association, we’re making a huge and positive impact on the health of all West Australians. We recognise the gaps in WA’s health system, but we’re proactively working towards a future where no one misses out on dental care.
With a holistic approach, we are committed to improving the health of all West Australians, even if that means uncomfortable conversations, long hours and additional resources.

Of the many activities undertaken at ADAWA, our work with oral-health charities is by far the most rewarding. We proudly facilitate these initiatives, arranging volunteer dentists, as well as the patients who require care and the materials required to treat them. We also offer funding and grants to students who wish to assist these charities but may not have the financial means to do so.
Please note: Some of these overseas opportunities may not be currently accepting volunteers.
Tzu Chi Foundation Perth’s Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA) has grown from treating dental emergencies in a single day, twice a year, to monthly clinics supporting the oral health of homeless and refugee people living in our local community.
